In an effort to give Deviants a real-time support hub for artists/writers who all share a love for Harry Potter, the #PotterShare chat has been created.

Chat Rules

No persuasion or manipulation of squibs and ickle firsties with respect to their choice of House. None. Whatsoever. Points will be taken if you try to influence their choice of House.

Do not spam the chat.

Do not stretch.

Don't swear. Some mild swearwords will be tolerated (e.g. ass, bitch) in small quantities, but use discretion and show proper etiquette when addressing others. They will never be tolerated as part of a personal attack. Five points will be taken for each swear word.

No hate speech, racial slurs, or other egregious personal attacks.

Do not antagonize the prefects, heads of house, or other administrators/moderators.

Promotions to Prefect are rare, and only occur after prefect training. Don't ask to be promoted beyond standard student (ie House membership) level.

Most of the Houses require that a person be active in the chat for a week before they are given access to the common room. Please do ask, but be polite if the answer is "no".

This should be obvious, but anything that is against deviantART or dAmn rules is still against the rules here too.

Consequences

In general, the first offense will result in a warning, unless the offense is grievous (e.g. continually spamming the chat). After that, actions taken may include kicking the person from the chat or giving the person a detention/time-out. Serious offenders may be banned from the chat altogether.
